Lesson 6: Running the WebCD Viewer

When customers, prospects, or members of your sales force receive their WebCD, they will use the WebCD Viewer to view the contents of the WebCD. This lesson shows you how to "test-drive" the WebCD Viewer image to see it as the end-user would.

If you . . . To do this lesson . . .
did Lessons 1-5 and have not closed the WebCDTutorial project go directly to number one (1) below.
did Lessons 1-5, but have closed the WebCDTutorial project open the WebCDTutorial.wcd project.
did not sequentially do Lessons 1-5 open the Lesson6.wcd project.

To open a project that is not listed on the Startup dialog, double-click More Files. Then open the appropriate directory and double-click the .wcd file to open the project. If you are already in the WebCD Packager application, select Open Project from the File menu. Note: The tutorial lessons projects are not available with demo versions of the WebCD Packager.

One From within WebCD Packager, select Test WebCD Image from the File menu. This allows you to run the WebCD Viewer application just as your end-users will when they receive your WebCD.
2 Review the Bookmarks window. Here are some things to try:
(a) Jump between pages using the hypertext links, just as you would when browsing the Web.
(b) Double-click the Live-LinkTM to jump to the live Web site.

(c) Switch back to the WebCD by double-clicking on one of the non-live-link Bookmarks.
(d) Move away from the WebCD home page, then use the Home button on the Bookmarks window toolbar to return to the home page.

(e) Perform a search by clicking on the Search button on the Bookmarks window toolbar.
